I disagree with this reasoning completely. I believe that classical music is in decline because of a lack of good guitarists and guitar teachers.

It’s true that kids today are more interested in pop culture than every before, but it’s also true that guitarists are better at marketing themselves than ever before, as well (think Justin Bieber, Bob Dylan, and Taylor Swift).

When she switched to pop she didn’t stop listening to country music; she just added pop to her repertoire.
