Step 1
Turn the amp off, unplug it and make sure it is completely cool; you should never clean an amp when it is hot.
Step 2
Remove the knobs by pulling them straight off or by twisting them off as needed. Set the knobs aside for now.
Step 3
Dampen a soft cloth with a small amount of water and wipe down the surface of the amplifier to get rid of any surface dust from your bass amp. Make sure that you do not use too much water and do not allow any liquid to seep into the crevices or cracks in your amplifier. Dry the wet areas with another cloth when finished.
Step 4
Spray a light misting of compressed air (compressed air can be found at most electronics stores) onto any areas that have dust accumulate in them such as vents or cracks where dirt is hard to reach. This will blow out any remaining dust that may have settled into these areas that you could not reach with the damp cloth. Dry any liquid immediately after using it with a dry cloth.
Step 5
Replace all of the knobs and tighten them.

It’s not hard to clean your own amp, and in today’s blog we are going to show you how. The first thing you will want to do is find a soft cloth that won’t scratch the surface of your amp. After you’ve done that go ahead and turn off the amp, unplug it from any power source, and remove any cables from it. If there is any dust or debris on the outside of the amp, take your cloth and gently wipe off the grime. If there are smudges on the amp, you can use a damp cloth to clean them off. Be sure not to let too much water get onto the cloth or into the ports of your amp because this could damage it permanently.
After you have cleaned all of the external parts, take a look at the inside of your bass amp. If there are any visible dust particles, use a vacuum cleaner to remove them. Be very careful when cleaning inside of your bass amp with a vacuum because you don’t want to suck up anything important. Also be sure not to use an air compressor for this task as it can blow dust into areas where it isn’t supposed to go which could cause problems later down the road!

Next, take off any screws holding together any parts that need replacing or cleaning (i.g., speaker cones). The best way to do this is using a screwdriver set so you don’t damage anything while trying pry it open by hand (if necessary).
Once all screws have been removed from their places on their respective panels carefully lift each part out one at a time
