Once you have a guitar, you need to learn how to read music. This is fairly easy and only takes a few minutes. Use your index finger on the first note, middle on the second, ring on the third and pinky on the fourth. It’s important to remember that your fingers are numbered 1-4 not 0-3. If you don’t remember this when you start reading music, it can be confusing and lead to frustration later.
