Five Things To Do On a First Date

It’s important to make a good impression on your date. So, how do you make sure you impress the night away? You can start by doing something fun and different on your first date. Below are five things to do on a first date that will let you make a memorable impression.

Go on a hike

If you live somewhere that has trails or nature paths, than going on a hike might be something to consider doing on your date. It’s free and it’s also not intimidating. You can talk while hiking and you can take in the sights together. It’s also better for the environment to walk then it is to drive if your destination is close enough by foot.

Take a class together

Have you ever wanted to learn the basics of sign language? Or maybe you want to learn how to make sushi rolls. Whatever it is, taking a class together is a great way to do something fun while learning something new at the same time! You can even see if there are any free classes in your area (or just browse some stuff online). If your date likes arts and crafts, why not try out some Pinterest tutorials?

So you’ve met someone online, or through a friend, and you’re ready to start dating. You’re going out on a first date, and you want to make it as memorable as possible. You want to make a good impression, and you want to ensure that your date has an enjoyable time. This is especially important if you don’t see yourself having another date with this person. If you never see them again, you want your first date to be a fun one so they remember it fondly. Here are five things you can do on a first date to make it memorable:

1. Go somewhere interesting

One of the most important aspects of a first date is choosing where to go for your date. Make sure that the place you choose is somewhere interesting and exciting. The last thing you want is for your date to have nothing to talk about besides the weather and the bland interior of the restaurant that you chose. Try to pick something unique, like miniature golf or laser tag. These places provide opportunities for conversation and talking about your interests and hobbies.

2. Choose food wisely

The next most important thing about a first date is what you will eat. Food is an excellent topic of conversation on a first date, but the food should be light enough that neither

What to do on a first date is always a question for me. I’m not really one for the bar scene, so I need some other ideas.

I would like to suggest something a little different, but it’s not for everyone. For those of us that enjoy something a bit more intellectual, why not go somewhere and learn something together?

Two great places that have popped up in many cities around the United States are the Science Museums and Exploratoriums. These are great date places because they are generally filled with interesting people, interesting things and interesting events.

The Science Museums usually put some kind of special exhibit into their museums every few months. This is a great opportunity to get out and see something you might not normally think about seeing. Most exhibits have some kind of event or lecture associated with them as well, which you might be able to catch while you’re there.

The Exploratorium is another great place to visit; they have lots of hands-on exhibits that are fun and easy to play with (and make for good conversation starters). Even if you’re just walking through the place, you’ll probably run across an interesting exhibit that will spark a conversation about something you both find interesting.

Everyone has had a first date. We all have our own stories of first dates gone terribly wrong or wonderfully right. There is no surefire way to know whether a first date will be an utter disaster or a new beginning in your life story. But there are definitely things you can do to improve your chances of having a successful date.

1. Have a plan and stick with it

There is nothing worse than being on a first date and struggling for conversation. Inevitably, the awkwardness causes you both to tense up, get nervous, and worry about saying the wrong thing. Avoid this by planning out the details of your date ahead of time so you can avoid awkwardness or confusion.

2. Be yourself

If there was one common theme among all advice columns, dating blogs, and relationship gurus it would be this: be yourself! Do not pretend to be someone you are not while on a date as that can only lead to disaster down the road when your partner finds out who you really are. You may think that acting like someone else is going to help you get the girl or guy of your dreams; but in fact, all it will do is attract partners who are looking for that type of person rather than who you really are.

Guthrie Govan on his band, the Aristocrats: “We’re like the Three Stooges, but with jazz chops.”

“Guthrie Govan is one of the most talked about guitarists in music today. He’s an artist far beyond his years, with a career that spans from Asia to Europe and now America. The demand for this virtuoso is so high that his calendar fills up with live performances months in advance. He’s so good (and busy) that he’s even been tapped by Guitar World magazine as the greatest guitarist of all time!”
