If you want to get started playing flamenco guitar, my first tip would be to learn some basic classical guitar technique.

It’s not essential to take formal lessons in order to do this (although I do recommend taking lessons at some point). There are many excellent books and DVDs out there which can teach you the essentials of classical technique. You could also use online resources such as YouTube videos, or just search around on the Internet for free sheet music and tab

1. Tuning:

I can’t stress this enough. Get yourself an electric tuner and use it every time before you play.
