I was a percussion player for about 10 years before I started playing the cello. I’ve been playing the cello for about 10 years now. I’m a cellist, and I play in an orchestra. I also play in a chamber music group.
So I was like, ‘Oh, okay, so it’s just a drum with strings.’ And then I started playing guitar. I got into it, and I started learning how to play.
Or did you want to be a rock player? Or did you want to be a jazz player? Or did you want to be a classical player? Or did you want to be a folk player? Or did you want to be a country player? Or did you want to be a R&B player? Or did you want to be a pop player? Or did you want to be a hip-hop player? Or did you want to be a metal player? Or did you want to be a punk player? Or did you want to be a reggae player? Or did you want to be a world music player? Or did you want to be a singer?
And I think that’s what we’re doing here. We’re really trying to create something that’s unique and special. It’s not just about the music, it’s about the experience.
I wanted to live in a place where there were lots of different people. And I wanted to live in a place that was more cosmopolitan. I moved to New York City. It was a big change. I had never lived in such a big city before. I remember being overwhelmed by the sheer size of it all. The crowds, the noise, the traffic, the constant hustle and bustle.
