Deb Polich: And you know, it’s interesting, because you’ve always been drawn to music, but you’ve also been drawn to the creative process. You’ve always been a maker. You’ve always been someone who likes to create things. Ron Brooks: That’s right.

It was a very contentious issue. Deb Polich: And then there was the issue of the zoning. We had to get the zoning changed to allow for a restaurant. We had to go through the whole process of getting the zoning changed. It was a very lengthy process. Ron Brooks: And then there were the permits. We had to get all the necessary permits for the restaurant. We hadre going to have to comply with all the local regulations. Deb Polic: And then there was the issue of financing. We had to secure financing for the restaurant.
Ron Brooks, a renowned music therapist, found his passion for helping others through music. He started a psychiatric clinic to supplement his music therapy practice. He obtained a master’s degree in counseling from the University of Michigan and opened a clinic. He believes that understanding conflicts is crucial for helping people solve problems.
